About
The history of IDE furniture
It all began in 1969 - the same year when Neil Armstrong, as the first human, set foot on the moon. And the year when a number of independent and forward-looking furniture dealers assembled and established IDE furniture. The starting point was joint procurement and joint marketing to stand stronger in the competition and offer the Danes a wide selection of modern furniture at the best prices.
Known brand
The distinctive logo with the red dot in it quickly became one of Denmark's most famous brands and IDEmøbler soon reached a turnover of over DKK 100 million. As early as 1974, the degree of knowledge was that 74 percent of Danes knew the chain, which soon spread throughout the country.
In 1975, the collaboration was transformed into a voluntary chain, and IDEmøbler continued the expansion in Denmark and quickly became nationwide and the Danes' absolutely preferred chain to visit when the home was to be renewed.
