On February 1, 2013 the Danish real estate magnate, Mikael Goldschmidt bought Kokkedal Castle Copenhagen and secured its future. He decided not only to complete the conversion but also to refurbish the castle and develop it into a five-star luxury manor house.
When the refurbishment is complete later this year the castle will offer an a la carte fine dining restaurant with 50 covers, a library bar, withdrawing room, banqueting and meeting facilities with a capacity of up to 100 people, a spa with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam and treatment rooms.
Finally, the castle will comprise of 62 rooms and suites. A limited number of rooms will be located in the castle and the remaining rooms will be located in the lodge as well as the royal stables.
