Briefly about Nova Furniture
Nova Furniture has existed since we first opened the doors to the store at Nørrebrogade back in 2003. The ambitions are high and we are constantly looking to develop ourselves, to offer the best range and be available. We have stores in Copenhagen N, Copenhagen K, Amager, Valby, Helsingør, Odense and Århus C.
Style and concept
At Nova Furniture you must be able to decorate your entire home.
What you find with us are furniture and accessories that will typically be handmade, rustic or industrial. A large part of the range is machined in wood, leather or splash-coated steel. Our lamps, pillows, blankets and plaids are colorful and hand-picked, and we also have some accessories in the metals gold, copper and brass. We produce many of our wooden and steel furniture ourselves, but we also negotiate selected products from Danish and international brands, eg. Hay, & tradition and Tom Dixon that fit in with our style and concept. We would like to support local artists and therefore take various artists regularly into the range.
Nova Furniture has its own design under the name 'BY SOL'. The furniture is primarily produced at our carpentry in Indonesia, which we started up in 2006, while others are produced locally in Copenhagen. Typically, our own furniture is a rethink of designs from the 40s, 50s and 60s that we really love to let ourselves be inspired by.
Our furniture is handmade and we often use recycled wood in the production. It makes each piece of furniture unique. The recycled wood we use is often from old houses or boats that provide beautiful raw and rustic furniture. In Nova Furniture we love the contrast between the raw and rustic furniture and the fine round shapes from the past. We also buy used classic design furniture, for example. Wegner. We restore and re-polish our own sewing workshop, and they are sold side by side with the other goods in our stores.
